Augusta Sportswear is a leading designer, manufacturer, and marketer of affordable high-performance activewear and spirit wear for teams, coaches, athletes, and fans.
The Augusta Sportswear brand was founded in 1977 in Grovetown, Georgia. Augusta Sportswear was originally founded by Brian Marks as a manufacturer of duffel and laundry bags. Mr. Marks was only 27 years old when he founded Augusta Sportswear, which was originally named Canvas Products of Georgia. Mr. Marks Sold Augusta Sportswear to Private Equity in 2008.
Since its inception, Augusta Sportswear has expanded with the purchase of Holloway Sportswear, High 5 Apparel, Pacific Headwear, and, most recently, a licensing arrangement with Russell Athletic.
Augusta Sportswear and ARES Sportswear Partnership
ARES Sportswear began selling and decorating Augusta Sportswear in 2003. At the time, our head buyer for ARES Sportswear reached out to Augusta Sportswear because of a need to find a reliable source of Team Athletic Shorts.
The relationship between the two companies expanded over the next 10 years as ARES continued to add Augustaโs Products to our team sports catalogs. Today, ARES Sportswear is one of the largest independent Augusta Sportswear Dealers in the USA.
